The Chair of Wonder
Felt like making something nice and short for you guys.
A long time ago, in a place far, far, away, there were people who truly understood each other. These were called Wondrous Beings. For they were always peaceful. They knew all of their names, knew everything about one another. This kept them in harmony, but they were very vigilant in protecting themselves. Because they knew everything about each other, they were a formidable team. No one could beat them. Finally, the neighboring places, out of desperation in fear, joined and attacked the Wondrous Beings. Though they were very powerful, they could not withstand this many armies combined. They fell, only their town (in ruins) remaining.
Years later, a certain colossal safe was found, in the heart of the city. No one could open it. It was highly resistant fire, electricity, metal, and many other things. On the front, it said in a code decoded by a man named Aidan, "Whoever finds the combination to open this safe will bring peace once more."
Even Aidan couldn't find the code which unlocked it. So a contest was held, whoever could open the safe would be rewarded greatly. Nearly every person of the world tried it. But no one could succeed. Until one girl, a tiny girl named Lila, stepped up, and tried it. She stood there for fifteen minutes, examining the safe. The crowd held their breath as she slowly put her hand on the lock. As she very slowly turned the lock, as if turning up the tension, some people yelled, "THIS GIRL IS TAKING TOO LONG!"
"TELL HER TO DO IT OR LEAVE!"
"WHO IS SHE?!!?"
For she was an orphan rejected by nearly every city, fending for herself, stealing food, and using her great speed to steal the food and money.
She took her time with the lock. Examining it. Turning it. And finally, with one last turn, the crowd held their breath, and it....
Didn't open.
The end.
- Author's Note:
- The title might sound silly, but I was brainstorming random names lol.

Re: The Chair of Wonder
You said these were called. You said people so why are you now saying these? You are supposed to say they
Though they were very powerful, they could not withstand this many armies combined. I don't think your supposed to say this.

They're similar to humans, but they're more understanding and kind. They look like humans, but aren't.LordObsidian wrote:You said these were called. You said people so why are you now saying these? You are supposed to say they

You didn't list that in the story.

Re: The Chair of Wonder
My point is how could I have known that if it wasn't listed in the story?

Epic story is epic.
I like the idea of people that arent fighting, I wish some parts from this story were true.
