Short Story - Falling

This had been something I used for my english course last semester before summer. I got a 80 something on it o.O anyway.. READ also.. prepare.. short story is not so short 
Quick Note : For the first bit my teacher had to read it over and over cause i forgot to state, it jumps back and forth from the person telling the story to that of whats actually happening around him. Just thought id share so no1 gets confused :c

I stood 100 feat above the ground. Below me the blue waves crashed onto the walls of what stood between me and a fate I for so long dreamed of.
My name is Alecks. I'm an eleventh grade underdog. The whole words seems to detest me and shrug me off and away from its society, not that I care. This world is a mess, and I'd rather be shoved away then sucked into the hopeless-ness our generation is forging.
Below me I could hear shrill cheers of men driving by or sitting down to watch. Is it possibly that amusing to watch a person struggle to move an inch or two and meet their certain death. I looked down and saw a man pull up in a truck and just stop and pull over to the side of the roadway, he got out and reached back into his truck and began blasting music. The cheers grew louder as people began forming around and began dancing.
I'm just one of the billions of people who inhabit this world, these people seem to think whats one life matter? This is just a joke to them. The lives of others are just a joke to these men and women. If i decided to just edge myself closer and fall then it would be meaningless to them.
If your wondering why or how I even got up here in the first place I'm what was called a 'freak'. Just because I let my hair sweep over my face, I've dyed it black and wear tight clothing. For the first 10 years of my life through elementary school it hadnt bothered me. But as I advanced through high school it began to get to me, it had sunk into my head and been ingrated into my forehead. I was a freak, un-welcome to the world. As it continued I began to realize this was fine. I wanted to different, I wanted to show the world I was not like the rest.
A rock soared past my arm and dropped 100 feat making a seemingly small splash. I looked down and people were crowding around the truck driver patting his back and handing him another stone. He was aiming for me to get me to fall. He has a good arm, i thought. But If i were able to move then it would be me falling and making that splash. My last moment, a graceful movement of water flying free through the air, even be for a second. The one second of grace I'd ever have in my life.
My dad had been in the war. He was only sent off a two months ago and we had received a letter in the mail reporting his death as of 2 weeks ago now. My dad was the closest person to me in my family. Truthfully i couldn't care what happened to my mother. I never once showed effection to her since grade 7. At that age for me she began to experiment drugs again, when she was on drugs or drunk she was a bigger freak then me. Not even, better classified as a monster.
I heard sirens below me and I looked down again as police men and fire fighters began pouring out of their vehicles.
"Come down son!" One shouted through a microphone. I just shook my head and turned away trying to ignore them. It was hard cause every few minutes or so they'd keep repeating it or asking what's wrong. For all they knew maybe i just came up here to chill.
I had a girlfriend. Long brown hair, pretty thin. Though I was still a twig compared to her. I think that probobly upset her in some ways more then none. Unlike me she was pretty normal, didnt wear dark colors, didnt have a gothic haircut, wore pretty cool cloths. Yet somehow she was into me, and I in return. We had only dated for 6 months.
"If youu dont come down, we're going to come up to get you kid." The man boomed through his microphone, "We just want to help you." I laughed and took a seat on the cold bar that was below my feet. So now they want to help me, I thought. It was funny you have to make a scene to be noticed in the world. Before this incident i was unnoticable. Now that I'm here everyones noticing me. Dont get me wrong, I didnt do this for attention.
Her name was Bre. For those 6 months we were together I actually felt like I was someone better then the freakshow who walked the halls of Huran High. We would spend lunches together alone, and for once doing normal people things was fun.
"ALECKS!" I heard a women scream. I put on a questioned face and looked down. Below me i could see the small shape of my mother waving her arms franticly. I returned a wave and wore a fake smile then turned back looking into the morning sky.
"ALECKS!" She screamed again, "Please come down!" I shook my head and laughed, again.. the un-noticable mouse has been spotted and everyone seems to be scurrying to see it.
I closed my eyes and begun to drift off. I had been up here for hours. It was 5:30 in the morning when I first decided to climb up here. It was too dark then for anyone to even notice. It took me a total of 2 hours to get here from down there. I guess climbing up a 100 foot tall structure is not the best of idea's.
The sounds below began to die down as I sunk into my sleep. The first image that came to my head was Bre. She was wearing a bright purple t-shirt and short blue jeans with flip flops. She was talking to me. I was replaying the last scene that we had through my head.
"Alecks!" She shouted. Through the thick darkness my image became clear to my right. I was sleeping on a desk.
"Eh..." I said as I slipped my head up. "Guess i fell asleep again through math?"
"You guess?" She said leaning down over me. She raised her hand and whipped it in my direction but stopped right infront of my face. She pulled back a finger and released it, flicking my forehead.
"Ow!" I shouted, as a small red mark began to form.
"Well dont fall asleep in class anymore, and maybe instead of flicking you in the forehead I'll reward you with one of these," She leaned in closer and kissed my forehead where she had flicked me. I could feel my face warming up and turning bright red, "Haha! Your blushing." She teased.
"Shut up!" I shouted trying to cover my face.
"Well its time for me to go home, you probobly should too. School ended like 20 minutes ago."
I looked at a clock and jumped out of my seat, "Shoot, my mom's gonna kill me!" I ran by Bre and kissed her gently on the cheek then waved bye as I ran out the door.
She laughed and followed out the door but walked into the other direction.
Normally the dream would follow me home where I would crash on the couch and try to ignore mom and she yells at me as she had recieved a phone call from the school of how I had fallen asleep through classes again today but this time seemed different. Instead of following me the dream seemed to follow after Bre as if there was a camera following her playing this scene over on video. Everything was so clear. As she walked her hair jumped and flipped in the air. The way she walked holding her bag infront of her legs hitting it with her knee's every step, the tune she seemed to be humming. It was all so familiar. I could have probobly reached out and grabbed her if I could.
The scene followed out of the school as she began walking down the street. Still humming a man pulled up in a car beside her.
"Hey little miss, wanna come in and play?" She froze, "You got 3 seconds to get in before I make you." She stood staring ahead of her like a deer caught in headlights. "I warned ya babe, 3...2...-" before he could finished she dropped her bag and began sprinting down the side walk. The man pulled up the window and began accellerating his car. Its had only been seconds before he caught up with her. With no one in sight the man turned the car and threw it onto the side walk. Bre hadn't stopped running and had ran streight into the vehicle. He pulled open the door and walked out.
"No!" She screamed. The man wore a dark blue suit and had swept back light brown hair. A cigerette hung from his mouth as he looked down on Bre.
"You'll do." He chuckled. Bre stumbled trying to get back on her feet but the man kicked her square in the face and flew back.
I tried to move to go help her, i tried screaming her name over and over but it was for naught. I couldn't move or speak.
Bre laid on the ground, unconcious. He grabbed her by her breast and lifted her.
"Hoho!" He chuckled, "You'll do quite fine indeed." He tucked Bre under his arm and threw her into the back of his vehicle. With a menacing smile the man re-opened the drivers door and the car pulled off the sidewalk and drove down the street into an abyss of darkness.
Everything faded and a new scene began to merge. It was infront of a large run down building. There were a mass of people swarming around and police and ambulances arriving by the second. This had been 4 days after Bre had disappeared. A paramedic had come out of the building carrying her on a stretcher. Sitting by the ambulance body pressed against the cold pavement of the road was me.
The news report had come on later that night. It explained the situation as a member of a mafia gang had taken her. He held her in that bulding for 3 days and left her. During those 3 days she endured mass rape, torture and several other things that would make a normal person curl up and pray for their lives and family's that it would not happen to them.
After sometime around late afternoon the mafioso had shot Bre in 3 non fatal places leaving her to die from the blood loss. Someone who had been passing by had heard the gunshots and responded by calling the police. It wasnt until 14 hours after that they had found her body. She was un-able to make a single noise while people were swarming the building trying to find her.
The scene had faded again, now there was nothing but darkness. I was alone. I've always been alone. This darkness was soathing. It made me feel comfortable and ease my pains. Ironic. I told Bre if she had ever died I'd follow her into the dark. And now I know how it feels.
"Alecks." I heard a soft voice say. It echo'd through the dark, I looked around trying to find a someone.
"Alecks." The voice repeated. Louder this time. Ahead i saw a person emerge.
"Funny isnt it? You actually followed me into the dark." Bre's image began to appear as she walked closer I could feel tears fall down my face. My body seemed to pull itself up and I ran to her. I threw my arms around her and talked into her ear.
"I'll never leave you again." I said softly. I could feel her arms wrap around my back and she looked up into my eyes with her beautiful smile. Tears began to fall from her eyes now too. Suddenly everything flashed and I appeared back on top the bridge.
"Alecks." A voice said. I looked beside me and on my shoulder was a womens hand. I looked up and saw the face of my mom. She had somehow managed to climb atop the bridge. Also here were some other people who used to be my friends. They smiled at me and held out their hands. More and more people were climbing up to come and be with me. Within the next few minutes there would be more then 100 people here trying to help me. Even the truck drivers face was there. All these people were smiling at me and calling out my name.
My opinion of some people started to change. Maybe not all people in this world are monsters. Maybe we don't all deserve to die. Maybe theres some people who deserve to go on and have a good life. Maybe its possible for people to change. I stood up thinking maybe I wasn't ready to die just yet. Maybe it wasn't the bridge or the waves crashing against its walls and pillars that stood between me and death. Maybe it was fear. Maybe that's why I didn't just fall from the begining.
I looked through the crowd and I saw a ghostly face of Bre and beside her another ghostly figure, it was my father. They stood together looking proud of me for making the right decision and seeing that life does have meaning. I smiled and was ready to go home. I looked back at my mom and nodded.
"I'm ready to go home now." I said. My voice seemed to echo over and cese the voices of all others that boomed around us. Everyone began to cheer again but this time it was different then before when they stood on the ground daring me to fall. These people actually cared about me now, they wanted to see me go home safe.
My heart jumped.
My foot had slipped, and now my body had fallen from the metal beam that had just supported me. The voices of the people on the bridge began screamin and yelling and crying. It all seemed so silent. Every figure on that bridge seemeed to fade away now. All noise had collapsed as the wind hissed through my ears.
In a way I was glad. I had, had my moment in the spotlight. It was over. I had begun to feel better about the world I was about to leave behind. I closed my eyes and smiled. For the last second of my life I was happy. And so it ends like this. I was falling, falling to my death. Falling to the end, falling to a place where I could always be happy and hopefully maybe see my father and Bre.. I was Falling... Falling.

Feat or feet? Lol.
After that there are too many grammar mistakes lol.
Uhh...what else....
Decent story, but not that attention grabbing. You have the skill, but you need things that make us want to read it.
